Christmas Jewelry Bonanza

I made a matching earring and necklace set for a special sparkly lady in California. First I had-wrapped all the jewels and then added the earring jewels to a short chain I had made from jump rings. Then I used the same jewel charms on the necklace, plus one with sterling silver ball beads incorporated. I hung them all on a sterling silver plated chain. They look fun all together, but could definitely be mixed and matched.

The next set was for a classy chica in Las Vegas.

Cylon Raider Cookies

I made these for Christmas for my dear friend and fellow Battlestar Galactica enthusiast Andrea. My husband had the idea to make two special raiders--one with a scar and one that said STAR BUCK etched into the wings. He's so clever.

I used red sprinkle dots for the eye and silver decorating spray paint. I found the paint at Wal*Mart in the cake decorating area (by scrapbooking).  The dough is just sugar cookie cut-out dough. I like to add more sugar. Be careful not to try to cut corners and buy the pre-made dough. It is meant for round sugar cookies, and all the carefully made Cylon raiders just flatten into round cookies. I know from experience. :(  I used a glass to cut the main circle and the head of a gingerbread man cookie cutter to cut out the other circle.

Just WHAT Are Those Biscuits Owning?

Ahhh, the Swap Meet...

Seeking Sole Mates

I originally saw a similar idea (of course!) on Pinterest, but decided to make my own version. I used a canvas dry erase board from Hobby Lobby. It was preferable to a funky, decorative canvas print (which I was looking for) since it is solid, not just flimsy canvas. Any other decorative wall hanging would do.  I spray painted clothespins glossy black. I used foam letters from Michael's scrapbooking section, and then I glued on the clothespins with Gorilla Glue.

Liam's First Birthday Monkey Bonanza

Our little monkey had a swinging good birthday party!

This was the birthday collage that went on his favors--stuffed monkeys hanging from vines across the living room.

Liam LOVED when everyone sang to him!

But he didn't love the chocolate on his banana bread cupcakes.

Cousin Noah was very attentive and helpful!

Tuckered out after the shindig.
